Top favourite rides of Universal Studios Singapore in no particular order


1. Battlestar Galactica: CYCLON Vs HUMAN


This is a high speed turbulent roller coaster which is sure give you an adrenaline rush. This is a duelling ride between 2 roller coasters namely CYCLON and HUMAN. CYCLON makes you upside down and takes you through multiple inversions. However, if you do not like going upside down then HUMAN's roller coaster is more recommended for you.


Height restriction : At least 125 cm

Locker is provided to store your luggage and any loose items before taking this ride.


2. TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle


This is one of the most popular rides of Universal studios. This is a 3D battle ride, where you join Optimus Prime and the Autobots against the forces of evil. This is a must do ride, there is a reason why this ride is so popular. You will find long queues in the morning time. The rush usually goes down past 3-5 pm. Keep checking your USS app to see when the rush is just 10-15 min waiting.


Height restriction: Guests must be 102cm in height to ride. Children 102cm to 122cm must be accompanied by a supervising companion.

3. Revenge Of The Mummy


This is also a very popular ride. This is a high speed indoor roller coaster which will take you into dark world of Egyptian mummy's. Be prepared to get plagued on all sides by huge fireballs, swarms of scarab beetles and an army of warrior mummies, all appearing from the darkness out of nowhere.

Height restriction : Guests under 122cm may not ride.

Locker is provided to store your luggage and any loose items before taking this ride.


4. Canopy Flyer

This is an outdoor Aerial ride. You can either sit in the direction of the ride or against it. For a more gentle experience, sit in the same direction but for a more exhilarating experience try sitting against the direction of the ride. The queues are really long for this one. I personally loved this ride.


Height restriction : Guests under 92cm may not ride. Children between 92cm and 122cm must be accompanied by a supervising companion.


5. Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure

This is an outdoor river raft ride. You will make your way down the white water raft system with state-of-the art animatronics and a thrilling white water drop. Your circular raft will be tossed around in the water. You will surely get wet on this ride. Take care of your electronic items and your eye lenses. There are sudden splashes of water which might take you by surprise. You are allowed to wear your raincoat on this ride. You can also keep your things in a locker.


Height restriction : Guests under 107cm may not ride. Children between 107cm and 122cm must be accompanied by supervising companion.


6. Puss In Boots

This is a suspended family roller coaster ride where you will join Puss and Kitty on an anti-gravity, swashbuckling adventure atop a giant beanstalk. Honestly, this ride took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting a lot from this. But I was glad I went ahead and got to experience this ride. Don't forget to read the funny recipes written all over the walls while queueing up for this ride.


Height restriction: Guests under 100cm in height may not ride. Children between 100cm and 122cm must be accompanied by a supervising companion.

How to reach Universal Studios

Easiest and cheapest way to reach is via MRT
  • Reach Harbour front station which is on the North East line (NE1- Purple line) and on Circle line (CC29-Yellow line).

  • Take Exit B .

  • Walk towards city mall 3rd floor

  • Take a ride on the Sentosa monorail

  • Alight at Waterfront station

  • Follow the signs and you will find yourself in front of the Universal Studios rotating globe.


Things to remember before your USS trip

Water bottles

​ Carry your water bottle. There are a lot of refilling stations spread across this theme park.

Sunscreen lotion, hat, sun glares

​​Have a high SPF sunscreen ready for application and re-application. Mind you it can get pretty hot and sunny in Singapore.

Umbrella / raincoat

Every time we have been to USS it has almost always rained. There are also some shops which sell basic raincoats.

Online booking

Please book your tickets online, else you will waste a considerable amount of time in front of the ticketing counter.

This app will be a life and time saver when inside USS. This app comes with an in-built USS map that can guide you through this maze. Using this app, you can compare wait times and decide which rides to skip for the moment and which rides to take.

Express Pass

For extra $50/$80 you can get express entry pass. This pass allows you to skip the queue at the participating rides and shows! Plus, you can enter the park through a dedicated lane with Priority Access. Express passes can be bought at any merchandise store within the park or at their booths just before the entrance gates.
